KLMUN 2012

Life has been busybusybusy, explains the long hiatus. :(

Anyways I went to KLMUN last week at GIS. :D Though it seems a bit different this year since most of the old timers have left for university and new faces were everywhere in the committees.

Saeshan! He's moving to Virginia. :/

I was selected to be the delegate of Brazil in the Security Council this year, albeit a rather irrelevant country to the topic we had. Somehow the atmosphere isn't like the previous MUNs we had over the years, it just seems to be more mundane than usual. Well I would attribute that to the topics we had this year, which was the situation in Syria and an emergency topic on Israel vs. Iran. It's something I would call topics with limited debatability.

Nevertheless it was fun! The most epic thing that happened was Kriishand teaching Abhishek how to catwalk, in style.

Oh, and I dropped my camera. :'(

20120204

The TTDI Photography Society meeting was held on Friday at Jen's Studio. I managed to get my hands on a very rare and expensive camera. :D

A Hasselblad H4D! It costs about one car, and that was without the lens. The one in the photo is a 100mm f/2.2. The camera belongs to Jen, it's his studio camera and he uses it for his commercial and portrait shooting.

What makes this camera so special? Well for one thing the sensor is many times larger compared to the usual dslrs, meaning that the photos taken will be extremely clean. And it has 40 freakin megapixels. Nuff said.

Our scuba gears

I had my first confined water dive for the PADI Open Water Diver course today, it was sooo fun! BD The only scaryy part was when we needed to take our masks off and open our eyes underwater and breathe for 1 minute. Chlorine water hurts your eyes. >.<

Houses with peculiar walls.

Exams coming soon. :(

MSSD Tennis

MSSD Tennis was fun. :D

Was knocked out in the second round by a national player, I have amazing luck. (Y)

On da way to the complex.

It rained heavily in the morning, but we practiced anyway. Playing with wet tennis balls is comparable to hitting flying green bricks. :P

Flying!

Went to interview a pilot for the NST with Nicole today at the Royal Selangor Flying Club for our issue on aviation which will be coming out in 2 weeks. Located in Simpang Airport which is an old military airport in Sungai Besi, the RSFC provides training for pilot licenses. Interested in getting one? It's going to set you back for about RM40k.

We went up to the conference room for the interview first. The best part was what happened after that, the pilot was nice enough to take us for a ride in the Cessna. :D

The interview with Mr. Marvinder.

Checking out the cockpit

Somebody's tip-toeing :P

Nicole went up first, but I couldn't follow because the cameraman took up all the space at the back. :/

My turn to fly the plane. >:D

Hehehe I was actually flying! :D

A Rainy New Year

There were Chinese New Year celebrations in my school and it rained in the middle of the lion dance performance. It was quite scary actually because one of the lions almost fell off the platform due to the slippery conditions, and I was right under it. ._. Some people say the rain is good luck because it's the year of the Water Dragon. Let's hope so. :D

That's Pn. Lee, our awesome ex add-math teacher!

They look so funny here. :P

Kok's epic phail moment.

[More photos]

It was the annual general meeting for all the clubs too on that day. I was elected for vice-president for MUN and tennis. Everything went on as expected however some people's ugly side really showed when it comes to these things. I don't wish to elaborate more, but some people are just plain greedy. :)

Watching their vids again. hehe they're just too funny. :P
